파소 로블스(Paso Robles)의 윌로우 크릭(Willow Creek) 서쪽 지역의 거친 지형에서 온 이 와인은, 파소 특유의 깊고 강렬한 힘을 지니고 있으면서도 석회질 토양과 템플턴 갭(Templeton Gap)에서 불어오는 바람 덕분에 놀라운 “상승감(lift)”을 보여줍니다.
이 와인은 입안에서 단순히 무겁게 머무르지 않고, 살아 있는 듯한 느낌과 매우 잘 짜인 구조감을 보여줍니다.
향에서는 전형적인 카베르네 소비뇽의 특징이 느껴지지만, 동시에 이 지역의 개성이 드러납니다. 으깬 블랙커런트와 블랙체리의 향이 중심을 이루고, 여기에 연필심을 깎을 때의 나무 향, 말린 담배잎, 그리고 은은한 야생 세이지의 향이 겹겹이 더해집니다.
과실 향 아래에는 차갑고 돌을 연상시키는 미네랄감이 자리 잡고 있어, 와인이 단순히 크고 강한 스타일에 머무르지 않고 보다 우아하고 복합적인 성격을 갖게 합니다.

Tasting Notes
Coming from the rugged Westside of Willow Creek of Paso Robles, you get all that deep, dark Paso power, but the limestone soils and the Templeton Gap breeze give the wine a stunning “lift.” It doesn't just sit heavy on the palate; it feels alive and incredibly well-structured.
On the nose, it's classic Cabernet but with a sense of place—think crushed blackcurrants and black cherry, layered with sophisticated notes of pencil shavings, dried tobacco, and a hint of wild sage. There's a cool, stony mineral quality underneath the fruit that keeps things elegant and complex rather than just “big.”
When you take a sip, you'll really feel those fine-grained, chalky tannins that define this terroir. The mid-palate is plush and concentrated, but it's backed by a bright, refreshing acidity that makes the dark fruit “pop.” It finishes long and polished, with a lingering touch of cocoa and savory spice that makes it a natural partner for a great meal.
