The elegant presentation this blend isn't your typical, heavy-handed Tempranillo. Instead, it leans into a surprising Pinot Noir-like elegance, showing off a much more graceful and “lifted” side of the variety. While the Tannat and Malbec are there to provide a dark, shadowy frame, the heart of this wine is all about vibrancy, transparency, and delicate layers.

On the nose, it's remarkably pretty. Rather than dark plums, you get a burst of wild strawberry and tart red cherry, layered with the kind of crushed rose petal and forest floor aromatics you'd usually expect from a high-end Burgundy. There's a beautiful “purity” to the fruit here, with just a faint, sophisticated whisper of dried tea leaf and white pepper in the background.

The palate is where the Pinot similarities really shine. It feels light on its feet, with a silky, fluid texture that glides across the tongue. The tannins are remarkably fine—more like satin than suede—and the acidity is bright and “crunchy,” giving the wine a refreshing energy. You'll still find that signature stony minerality from the Willow Creek soil, but it's wrapped in layers of cranberry and pomegranate, finishing with a clean, lifted floral note that lingers effortlessly.
